The registration link for the AWARE self-defense instructor course (Oct 16 &17 at Fossil Pointe) has been posted on the TEEX website.4
If you do not have a TEEX account, you’ll be prompted to create one (it’s free) in order to register.

What you need to know:
1. Payment is due to complete registration- $325.
2. Registration will close about 2 weeks prior to the course date.
3. There are no prerequisites.
4. A minimum of 10 students is required for the class to make; 24 is the maximum.
5. They will work with some physical challenges by modifying some moves for those who plan to work with seniors and those with physical challenges. With that being said, instructor candidates must still be able to demonstrate the modified moves effectively.
6. Dress comfortably (workout type attire) and bring water, snacks and lunch. (The grill should be open, but check to make sure before planning to eat there.)
7. We will be in the classroom at Fossil Pointe. If you need extra layers, please make sure to wear them!
8. Class will begin at 8 am both days, and run until at least 4 pm.
9. CEUs are available for police officers, firefighters, certain security officers, and educators.
