Ladies and Gentlemen,
We would like to invite you to participate in the Spring Sniper League starting March 6th, 2022 at 9:00am. This will be an 6-week league and all scores will count for the total. There may be weeks rescheduled for weather, other scheduled matches and/or holidays. There will be one class, OPEN, for scoring. Please note that for League there are no magnum calibers allowed.
While you are not expected to be an expert long-range shooter, there will be a qualification requirement for first time participants. Qualification can be done through Fossil Pointe’s monthly courses or with instructor signoff. Shooters with known ability may be exempt from qualification. If you believe you have a verifiable
record, please contact david@fossilpointe.net for consideration.
If you are a first time participant, it is strongly recommended that you make at least one range visit before participating. This will enable you to document and DOPE. League shoot
days will not have the time to document and DOPE. Shooters will be regulated to their personal distance capabilities.
Safety is Fossil Pointe’s number one concern and everyone’s safety will be priority for the Sniper League. Please ensure that you come prepared and that your equipment is properly serviced and functioning. Any unsafe actions will be addressed immediately.
Equipment Requirements:
Rifle- Non-magnum calibers .30 and less. Must be safe and operate normally.
Scope- appropriate scope of 8x minimum magnification with tactical style turrets.
Ammo- No FMJ, steel core, or incendiary type rounds allowed. Usually 50-60 rounds per day is adequate. More is always better.
Mat- Most shooter lay prone. You are welcome to bring your own bench if needed. Benches will be reviewed for safety.
Bi-pod/Sandbags-None will be provided, yours are welcome.
Hearing Protection- Not everyone will use suppressors, therefore hearing
protection is required.
Eye Protection- HIGHLY recommended and preferred!
Equipment Optional:
Suppressor- Most will use suppressors. It’s polite but not required.
See David or Steve if you are interested in purchasing one.
Brass catcher- If shooting semi-auto rifle, it is recommended you use a
catcher.
Spotting Scope- Fossil Pointe will have one on hand, but you may bring yours.

COST: $189(INCLUDES TROPHY FEE) YARDAGE : 250-800
• NEW SHOOTERS MUST QUALIFY UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED PRIOR
TO LEAGUE SHOOT.
• THERE WILL BE A PRACTICE PERIOD BEFORE LINE SHOOT EACH DAY.
• EACH COMPETITOR IS ALLOWED 2 BANK ROUNDS. (MUST BE SHOT ON
SPECIFIED DOUBLE ROUND DAYS). IF NEITHER BANK SCORE IS USED, THE
LOWEST MATCH SCORE MAY BE REPLACED BY THE HIGHEST BANK SCORE.
• CALIBER RESTRICTIONS: .30 CAL OR SMALLER – NO MAGNUM CALIBERS
ALLOWED
• ALL RIFLES MUST BE SCOPED. NO IRON SIGHT SHOOTING.
• NO HOLD OVER – TACTICAL TYPE SCOPES WITH ADJUSTABLE TURRETS
ONLY
• COMPETITORS MAY SHOOT LARGER CALIBERS UPON RSO APPROVAL, BUT
WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS.
• AWARDS FOR HIGH SCORE AVERAGE
• OPTIONAL $10 COLD BORE CHALLENGE @ 9AM
• OPTIONAL DAILY WIN POT DONATION = $10
• THIS LEAGUE IS DESIGNED FOR TACTICAL – PRECISION STYLE RIFLES.
• ON DOUBLE ROUND DAYS THE HIGHER SCORE WILL BE THE DAILY SCORE
AND THE LOWER WILL BE THE BANK ROUND TO BE USED IN CASE OF A
MISSED WEEK.
• COMPETITORS MUST PAY THE FULL LEAGUE FEE TO SHOOT THE 9:00AM
FLIGHT AND TO BE SCORED. NON-LEAGUE SHOOTERS MUST WAIT UNTIL
THE LEAGUE FLIGHT IS DONE BEFORE SHOOTING.
